Second by Councilperson Gay. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Shipp, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />13. Council considered awarding bids for construction of golf <br />course club house facility and related site work. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to accept staff's <br />recommendation and award the bid for the club house, at <br />$195,500, and alternate 2, the fire sprinkler svstem at a <br />cost of $6000, to Builders Construction for a total award <br />of $201,500, to approve staff negotiating allowable <br />construction davs from 120 to 100, the contractor honoring <br />his prices for all alternates, an1-Degotiating an upper <br />limit on the early comoletion bonus. Second by <br />Councilperson Porter. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Matuszak to amend the <br />motion to include the deck but bid it separateLY. Second <br />by Councilperson Lloyd. <br /> <br />After discussion, it was determined that a better bid could <br />be obtained if the bid is awarded as specified, then go out <br />for bid later for the deck, as at this point we own the <br />specifications for the club house, and it would be no <br />problem to retrofit the deck at a later date. <br /> <br />Councilperson Matuszak withdrew his motion to amend and <br />Councilperson Llovd withdrew his second. The original <br />motion was voted, and carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
