P~+I. D. Burgin, Geo. <br />F. Norris, T. F. Smith., P. L. & nson, City atty. Kiibler, City <br />Secretary Christensen. <br /> Minutes of the last meeting were re~.d and approved, <br />Bill I~otion by Benson, second by Burgin, that the bill from Dan Gates <br /> in the amount of X38.08 for labor and materi~.l for building bridge <br /> at 7th and T,~ain ST. be ordered paid. <br /> Carried. <br />Bill Motion by Burgin, second by Smith, that the bill from Federal <br /> ~.boratories, Tne., in the amount of ~30.1;1.a, for Invoice <br />~-68195 <br />' <br /> , <br />in the amount of X2 <br />.25 and Invoice ~ 6592. in the. amount of X28.19 <br /> and. which was withheld from Howard '1~t. Smitht s salary be paid to <br /> Federal Laboratories, Inc. <br /> Carried. <br />Letter The Secretary read a letter from the General Committee in charge <br />- <br /> of <br />the 1~th of July Rodeo and other activities, asking the Cityts <br /> <br />' cooperation in granting permission for the erection of a speaker's <br />~~ <br />. <br />..: platform and reviewing stand on A:4ain St. <br />l;.th of July Motion by Benson, second by Smith, that the City designate the <br />A.etivities block from 1st St. to Five Points for the Z~th of July activities. <br /> Carried. <br /> The Mayor read the following resolution: <br />Resolution ~ VIHEREAS, The Cit;r of La torte has heretofore passed and <br /> approved Ordinance No. 261, regulating traffic upon the public <br /> streets off' the City of La Porte; and <br /> t~IHER~AS, such Ordinance provided that the City Council <br /> , <br />shall, by resolution, determine and designate the character of all <br /> official traffic signs and signals and shall designate the location <br /> where the same shall be installed; <br /> NOVf, THEREFORE, BE IT REVOLVED BY THE CITY COUP?CIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LA PURTE, TEAS, THAT <br /> The standind or parking of any vehicle on South First Street <br /> ~hd South Second Street from West ~mn Street South to the first <br /> alley intersection of such Streets is hereby prohibited except when <br /> parked at an angle of 45 degrees on the operators right hand side <br /> of the roadway, with the right hand front wheel of such vehicle <br /> within six ine~es of the curb or edge of said roadway; <br /> The standing or parking of any vehicle on North First Street <br /> and North Second Street from Vilest Main Street North to +,he first <br /> alley intersection of such Streets is hereby prohibited except when <br /> parked at an angle of 1~5 degrees on the operator's right hand side <br /> of the roadvray, with the right hand front wheel of such vehicle with- <br /> in six inches of the curb or edge of said roadway; <br /> The police Committee is hereby authorized and instructed to <br />
