M. <br />Regular meeting of the City Cornnission was called to order by Mayor H. J. <br />Pfeiffer, with the following members airl city officials present : Commiss- <br />ioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr., arrl VYm. P. Jones, Pam. Maness, representing wuyatt <br />C. Hedrick, City Engineer, Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, and J. E. ~Zuldoon, <br />City Clerk. <br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and apprrnred. <br />Neal Moore, representing Ivloore & P~Ioore, Contractors, appeared before the Com- <br />mission in connection with finishing excavation of Imhoff Tank. The Commiss- <br />ion unanimously agreed to let Moore & Moore finish excavation at actual labor <br />cost, plus 10'j overhead and profit, and pay for the use of a drag line while <br />on location and in use for actual dirt excavation at X10.00 per hour. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read a letter from VY. A. Chaloupka, in which he claimed dam- <br />ages to his aut~nobile caused by the City Spraying Machine. <br />After questioning Mr. Brock, who was in charge of the machine on night dam- <br />ages were claimed, letter was referred to the City Attorney for answering. <br />Pdr. V~hn. Crenshaw appeared before the Commission in behalf of ~drs. Dorothy <br />Allen. He stated that Nlrs. Allen had no desire to connect to sewer, as she <br />had a septic tank which met the State requirements, and also she was not <br />financially able to do so. He was advised by the Cormn3.ssion that they would <br />have the tank examined as to State specifications. Mr. Crenshaw said he <br />would meet with the Commission at their next meeting, September 20, 191.9. <br />The City Clerk informed the Commission that the published had failed to pub- <br />lish bid notice of the Tractor Loader, for two eonseoutive times, as required <br />by the Charter. <br />Motion by Crate, second by Jones, that Notice to Bidders be run again on the <br />~ractor Loader, and bids be opened October L~., 199• <br />Carried. <br />The Mayor introduoed an Ordinance which was read in full. Commissioner Jones <br />made a motion that the Ordinance be adopted as read. The motion was seconded <br />by Commis inner Crete and carried by the following vote : AYES : Mayor i'f'eiffer, <br />Commis, inner Jones, Commnissioner Crate. NOES : None. <br /> <br />
