~~~~ <br />DdIINUTE.S - REGULAR MEETING <br />LA PORTS CITY COM[~ISSI4N - SF,PTEMBER 21, 1950 <br />10:00 A. M, <br />Regular meeting of the City Commission xas called to order by Mayor H. J. Pfeiffer, <br />xith the folloxing members and city officials present: Commissioner Wm. P. Jones, <br />Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, Raleigh Edwin, Supt. of Public forks, and J. 8. <br />Muldoon, City Clerk. <br />Mrs. C. 0. Crenshaw and Mr. Joe Hull, with the La Porte-Bayshc~ a Emergency Corps, <br />appeared before the City Commission and requested their cooperation in the work <br />they were doing. The Commission endorsed their program and promised to give xhat <br />help they could. <br />Mr. Conrad Douglas, Engineer, appeared before the Commissions ar~d made a preliminary <br />report on the present rater and serer system, as he agreed to do September 7, 1950. <br />Mr. M.D. Durgin, City Fire Marshall, appeared before the Commission in connection <br />with debris on property xhere the old Port Theatre building xas demolished. The <br />Commission instructed Mr. Burgin to contact the owner of the property and have him <br />remove all debris. <br />The State Highxay Department agreed to install all materials needed for traffic <br />lights at Five Points for future use xhile the street is under con struction, if <br />the City xould furnish the materials. <br />Motion by Jones, second by Pfeiffer, that the City furnish all materials needed <br />for the installation of traffic lights at Five Points for some time in the future. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Jones, second by Pfeiffer, that the meeting adjourn. <br />Carried. <br />TTEST: <br />J.
