<br />Regular meeting of t he City Commission was called to order by idayor H. J.
<br />Pfeiffer, with the follo4ving members and city off~~ials present: Commissioners
<br />I+2. D. Bergin and 'u'J~m. P. Jones, City Attorney Carl C. Patrick, Supt. of Public

<br />P~~inutes of the last meetit~; were read and approved.
<br />I~totion by Burgin, second by Jones, instructing the City Clerk to Pay A.C. Iherchant
<br />4335.35, and hold 4`100.00 in abeyance, this being for hark performed on Nater
<br />1"dell No. ~..
<br />Carried.
<br />Ialr, Lefferty and Mr. C, C. Kennedy, representatives of the Southa~estern Bell
<br />Telephone Company appeared before the Commission and requested that the Comm-
<br />ission consider a new Ordinance in place of Ordinance No. X19, which ti°ras re-
<br />cently passed, near ordinance to contain 10 years instead. of five years, and
<br />at the ending of five years the Telephone Company' notify the City before starting
<br />on the next five years.
<br />The Commission informed these gentlemen that they tigrc~e in agreement on this
<br />clause, and for their legal department to drat~r up anew ordinance, and they would
<br />give it every consideration.
<br />I~r, L. A. Hale, representing the Houston Lighting & Pat•°rer Company, appeared be-
<br />fore the Comm~.ssion in connection vrith street lights at the Five Points Circle.
<br />He advised the Cormni.ssion that they would eli.mixiate four lights already ordered,
<br />and they would place these four lights with three lights at the circle. These
<br />three lights, however, tivould contain more candle paver that the four lights
<br />being eliminated.
<br />The Comm.i.ssion advised him they would take this matter under consideration,
<br />and let him know.
