D. Burgin, <br />with the following members and city officials present: Commissioner Robert A. <br />_ ~ ZYhite, Supt. of Public ;'larks 1.'t. r".. ^sthur, and City Clerk J. E, h.4uldoon. <br />~~Tinutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />The ~~.ister of the Church of Christ appeared before the Commission and request- <br />ed permission to build a septic tank on theix property in Block 133, La Porte, <br />He stated they would rather be connected to the city1 s sevrer system, however, <br />they t~rere not able to finance such a project. <br />The Commission turned the matter over to fir. Arthur, Public ti'rorks Superintendent, <br />for price of construction of aline to the church property, and to see other <br />property owners served by this line sharing the cost of the line. The minister <br />was advised that after •they had exhausted all means and found they could not <br />construct a sever main, then c ertainly he could build a septic tanlt. <br />J~otion by Z~hite, second by Burgin, to charge a building permit fee of X2.50 or_ <br />all ctiuxches to be constructed in La Porte. <br />Carried. <br />.3.~t ~.Zotion ~"Thi.te second <br />by , by Burgin, that Ordinance No. 128, being <br />Art ORDINANCE FIXING 7:30 0 ~ CLOCK P. ~.~I. OPd THE NSGHT OF THE 25TH <br />DAY OF AI~UST, 1952, AS THE TI~dE OF THr F]RST b~FETING OF THE B0.4IZD <br />OF EQUALIZATION, <br />be adopted as read. <br />Carried. <br />The City Clexk presented the Commission with an application for a building per- <br />mit on an addition to a dame residence in the File Zone. It was the consensus <br />of opinion of the Commission that while the new ordinance on building eras not <br />' yet ir1 affect, they should act in the spixit of the Ordinance to be passed. The <br />Comm-i.ssion instructed the City Clerk to procure a complete application before <br />passing upon it. <br />I~tion by white, second by Burgin, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a check <br />to J. 0, Rollins, for x$200.00, for expense moneys for four firemen attending <br />A, & IVI.
