<br />MINUTES - SPECTAh MEETING <br />LA RTE CITY CO11t~ISSION -MAY 3RD, 195. <br />5:0o P. M. <br />Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor M. D. Burgin, <br />with t he fo71owr3.ng msubers and city officials present: Commissioners L. R. <br />Rigby and Harold P. Pfeiffer, City Attorney Edward J.Car3e, Supt. of Public ~®rks <br />W. A. Arthur, and City Clerk J. E. Muldoon. <br />May©r Burgin extended thanks to Robert A.~h3.te, for all he had done for the <br />Commission and for the City of La Porte. He assured the Commissioners that he <br />would cooperate with them to the fullest, and hoped theywould do the salve with <br />ham, in an informal and friendly mariner. L.R. Rigby and Harold P. Pfeiffer then <br />assured the Mayer they would work wholeheartedly with him in helping to make <br />La Porte a better place in which to live. <br />No action was taken at this time on the appointment of any city officials. <br />The Mayor asked the Commissioners what would be the most convenient time for <br />them to hold their regular meetings. After discussion, the first and third <br />Fridays of each month were s elected as the regular meeting days, the fixst <br />Friday of each month being the 10:00 A. M. meeting time, and the third Friday <br />of each month being the ~.:30 P.
