<br />Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, to cooperate with the La Porte Chamber of
<br />Commerce 3.n. string3.ng and taking down street lights during the Christmas season.
<br />Carried.
<br />Mr. Lloyd Aaron appeared before the Commission and granted to kncnr what help
<br />the City would give him 3.n extending his water and sewer lines. The Commission
<br />stated that it eras a policy of the property owner to extend these lines at his
<br />own expense. He could, however, make a ten year lease with the City, and that
<br />anyone Who connected to the line which hs had paid for would have to pay their
<br />prorata part,° which Would be returned to him.
<br />Aaron stated he would like to run his own water line. The City agreed to this
<br />if he would construct the water 1°ine in accordance with their specifications.
<br />They also advised Mr. Aaron that they would give him the. exact amount of cost
<br />of the sewer line extension within the next fear days.
<br />The CommLi.ssion instructed the City Clerk to write Ba1co, Tnc., and request them
<br />to make repairs to the streets which they had constructed, and where faaxlts
<br />had occured, Mr. W,A. Arthur, Public i~orks Superintendent to furnish the City
<br />Clerk with list where these faults had occured.
<br />Commissioner H. P. Pfeiffer agreed to make an appointment with Frank C. Baldwin,
<br />owner of property on Little Deer Creek, and find out exactly what his complaint
<br />WaS.
<br />The Mayor proclaimed the period from September 27 to October 2, as "City Wide
<br />Clean Up Week".
