330 <br /> <br />Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer to purchase 75 Street Signs from <br />Viking Supply Co. at X7.40 each, delivered. <br />Carried. <br />Upon recommendation oP the Mayor, motion by Pfeiffer, second by Rigby to <br />have a member of the Auxiliary Police relieve Chief of Police Russia <br />Jacobi so that he may serve Warrants of arrest. <br />_ ~ Carried. _ <br />Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, to accept check of H. W. Angel in <br />the amount of $151.05 in payment of Curb and Gutter in Block 53, La Porte. <br />Carried; <br />;f. -~ <br />The Commission went on record as supporting the Wheel Tax and the proposed <br />high bridge across the ship channel. <br />Motion by Pfeiffer, second by Rigby, to have Houston Lighting and Power <br />install a street light at the intersection of 11th and B Streets. <br />.r- <br />Carried. <br />The Commission instructed Special Counsel John S. Kiibler to draw up an <br />easement for a sewer line~Block 8, Sylvan Beach. <br />Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, that the following persons be appointed <br />as Auxiliary Policemen: George Lundy, Brock L. Morrow, Elvis Ray Strickland, <br />Morris Lemons(col) and Rudell Phillips(col)~ and to accept.the resignation <br />of the following: D. B.
