Mrs. Lois Compton and Mrs. Rosalie Weir, with <br />others, appeared before the Commission in support of a new <br />Li 1~ary. <br />They announced that m®st of the Hospital Board <br />had been c®ntacted in regard to releasing to the Library Fund <br />certain money held by the Hospital Beard, which had previously <br />been csllected by public donation for the purpose of a new <br />h©spital. <br />It was decided that a meeting of the Hospital <br />Board would be calleei to discuss the matter fully. <br />16. <br />PLANS FOR 'a0N- <br />STRUCTION OF NEW <br />LIBRARY <br />Mayor Pfeiffer stated that the City Commission <br />would like to see the new Library located on Avenue "E" and <br />San Jacinto, close to the sch®ol, and somewhat separated from <br />the proposed Recreation Center. He stated that the necessary steps <br />would be taken to acquire the land frc~n the school when the <br />group was ready to proceeel. <br />at this time. <br />No official action of the C©mmissi®n was taken <br /> ~ ~ ~ <br /> !t. Commissioner Osburn made a motion seconded br RESOLUTION N0. 7-62 <br /> Commissioner Dunham, and carried, that Resolution No. 7-62, "TRIAL DE NOVO <br /> opposing House Joint Res®lution No. 32, which proposed to amend BMENDMENT" <br /> the State Constitution by what is common7~ termed the "Trial <br /> De NOVO Amendment"~ be passed and published in the 1®cal news- <br /> paper. (Resolution No. 7-62 filed in Resolution Bsok.) <br /> 5. Mayor Pfeiffer read a letter from Mr. L. F. L.
