Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners Russell 'Shepherd, W. A. Stabs, Jr., Tom Osburn, <br />and Frank G. Baker. <br />* * ~ <br />MEMBERS OF COMy/SS/ON ABSENT: None. <br /> <br />OTHER C/TY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Clovis D. Mann, City <br />Clerk; C. L. Pitman, City Attorney; Carlos Smith, City <br />Engineer. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend Oran L. Sigler, <br />Minister of the La Porte Community Church. <br /> <br />1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 16, <br />1963 and the Special Meeting of December 23, 1963 were read <br />and approved. <br /> <br />2. Mr. C. E. Galyon, Gaylon-Oliver Company, <br />Houston, Texas, presented plans for development of Block 11, <br />Sylvan Beach Addition. <br />Plans were tabled for further study. <br />3. Jay Carroll and Associates, Architects, Houston, <br />Texas, presented a request to the Cify to close a sixteen (16) <br />foot alley in Block 82, Town of La Porte, to permit utilization <br />of the area in the proposed development of this block. <br />Commissioner Osburn made a motion seconded by <br />Commissioner Shepherd, that the city give tentative approval <br />for closing of alley dependent upon ftnal approval of proposed <br />project by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and upon approval <br />of the utility firms concerned, and provided that if project is <br />not developed as proposed, that the alley way be deeded back to <br />the Ctty. Motion carried. <br />142. <br /> <br />
