149. <br />• <br />4. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd, that Resolution No. 25-64, cancelling <br />delinquent and unpaid taxes on certain tracts of land owned by <br />the La Porte Independent School District. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd, that the City Engineer be authorized <br />to accept bids toward the purchase of a pick-up. Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. Tabulation of bids for 6,000 feet of 2 inch <br />Cast Iron Pipe, or alternate of three (3) inch Cement Asbestos <br />Pipe, received and opened on January 28, 1964, was considered. <br />(Bids and Tabulation on file). Commissioner Osborn made a motion <br />that the City accept and award the purchase to Mabry Foundry <br />and Machine Company, for six thousand (6,000) Lin. Ft. of <br />three (3) inch Cement Asbestos Pipe, at sixty-five (65) cents <br />per foot. Motion seconded by Commissioner Stabs and carried. <br /> <br />7. Report and tabulation on income and expenditures <br />of the Bayshore Municipal Utility District, as pertatns to the <br />City's operations were recetved and noted. <br /> <br />8. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded <br />by Commissioner Osborn, that the following Purchase Orders be <br />approved. Motion carried. <br />P. O. 545 - dated January 27th, 1964, to Sharp Grain <br />Company for 1500 Lbs. of 70% Chlorine @ <br />.~ 30.60, total $ 459.00 for Water Dept. <br />P. O. 565 - dated February 3, 1964, to Utility <br />Supply Company, Houston, for fittings and <br />supplies,-cost ~ 102.92, for stock and <br />Water Department. <br />P. 0. 567 - dated February 3, 1964, to McNeme Pool <br />Equipment Co., Houston for two (2) Diving <br />Boards, Cost .~ 582.00. <br />~ ~: <br />9. Motion made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded <br />by Commissioner Osborn, that the gasoline purchase contract <br />with Mobil Oil Company, be extended for another year. Motion <br />carried. <br />• <br />
