Upon recommendattons from the City Engineer, that <br />a physicaC inspection be made of roof dratns draining in to <br />Sanitary Sewer throughout the City, Mayor Pfeiffer requested <br />Commissioner Osborn and Carlos Smith to work out a schedule <br />to accomplish same. <br /> <br />5. Motion was made by Commissioner Osborn, seconded <br />by Commissioner Baker, that a Public Hearing be called to discuss <br />re-zoning of Block 306, Town of La Porte. The Hearing is set <br />for June 8, 1964, at 7:00 p. m. at the City Hall. Motion carried. <br />~ ~ « <br />6. Motion was made by Commissioner Shepherd, seconded <br />by Commissioner Osborn, that the following Purchase Orders be <br />approved. Motion carried. <br />King Chemical Company $ 156.75 <br />Appiebe & Walls 100.60 <br /> <br />7. Motion was made by Commissioner Baker, seconded <br />by Commissioner Osborn, that the Ctty purchase up to thirty- <br />three thousand, six hundred gallon (33,600) of oil at seven <br />cents (. 07) per gaClon, from Petroleum Distributors to be used <br />on streets to La Porte, Rusttc Red Bluff, Red Oak Acres, and E1 <br />Jardin. Motion carried. <br />* * ~ <br />8. Motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded <br />by Commissioner Shepherd, that the contractural agreement between <br />the City of La Porte and Harris County ~n regard fo reimbursement <br />schedule for the City's cost for Harris County Radio dispatching <br />and prisoners' meals be renewed. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. The need of a truck for the Disposal Operator's use <br />in the Public Works Department, was brought to the attentton of <br />the Commission by City Engineer Carlos Smith. Motion was made <br />by Commissioner Osborn, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, <br />authorizing Carlos Smith to purchase a used truck at a cost of <br />three hundred dollars, (~ 300.00), if, after examinatian of the <br />vehicle, it appears to be reasonable.
