ACTION <br />DATE <br />Corps of Engineers published a Public Notice to inform the public of the <br />November 15, 1999 <br />proposal to construct the Bayport Terminal Expansion. <br />City hosted SH 146 Corridor meeting at Lou Lawler Seafarers Center to <br />April 3, 2000 <br />promote expansion of the highway and to support a major investment <br />study conducted by TxDOT. In attendance were Commissioner Fonteno, <br />Port of Houston officials, and State officials. <br />City hosted SH 146 Corridor meeting at City Hall to obtain support from <br />May 11, 2000 <br />cities along SH 146 to keep this highway a priority of TxDOT. In <br />attendance were Commissioner Fonteno and local area city officials. <br />Port of Houston revised permit application for proposed Bayport <br />December 8, 2000 <br />Terminal facility. <br />City hosted SH 146 Major Investment Study Advisory Committee <br />January 10, 2001 <br />meeting at City Hall. <br />Port of Houston hosted a public hearing at Clear Lake Courthouse <br />February 19, 2001 <br />Annex. <br />City requested an extension for participants wishing to comment on the <br />June 27, 2001 <br />permit application submitted by the Port of Houston. <br />City Council attended a retreat to discuss the Bayport Expansion and to <br />September 21, 2001 <br />receive feedback from staff and Councilman Chuck Engelken. <br />Corps of Engineers published Draft Environmental Impact Statement <br />November 12, 2001 <br />DEIS . <br />City representative attended a public education workshop hosted by <br />December 4, 2001 <br />Corps of Engineers at Pasadena Convention Center. <br />City representatives attended a public hearing hosted by Corps of <br />December 12, 2001 <br />Engineers on DEIS at George R.
