ra <br />THENCE in a southerly direction, a distance of 8 feet to a point located on <br />the centerline of the alley in Block 50, La Porte; <br />THENCE in a westerly direction, along the centerline of the alley in Block <br />50, La Porte, a distance of 4 feet; <br />THENCE in a southerly direction, a distance of 8 feet to a point marking <br />the intersection of the south line of the alley in Block 50, La Porte and the <br />northeast corner of Lot 15, Block 50, La Porte; <br />THENCE In a westerly direction, along the south line of the alley In Block <br />50, La Porte, a distance of 121 feet to its intersection with the east line of the <br />North 11th Street Right -of -Way; <br />THENCE In a northerly direction along the east line of the North 11th <br />Street Right -of -Way, a distance of 16 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the <br />herein described tract. <br />Section 2. The City of La Porte hereby retains for itself and its successors and assigns, a 16 <br />foot wide Water and Sanitary Sewer Easement within the entire area of the above-described 16 <br />foot wide alley to be closed by this ordinance. <br />Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites, and declares that a sufficient <br />written notice of the date, hour, place, and subject of this meeting of the City Council was <br />posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by <br />law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas <br />Government Code; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all <br />times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, <br />considered, and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves, and confirms <br />such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall be effective from and after Its passage and approval, and it is so <br />ordered. <br />
