ORDINANCE NO.2015- J AN ORDINANCE VACATING,ABANDONING.AND CLOSING A PORTION OF THE SYLVAN AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY; RETAINING A 10' WIDE-SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT AND-AUTH.ORIZINGTHE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A DEED TO THE ADJOINING LANDOWNER, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW;;AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the. City Council of the City of La Porte has been requested by the record owner ofthe property abutting the hereinafter described-Sylvan Avenue Right-of-Way,and; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of,La Porte has detefniined and does.he"rebyfind, determine; and declare that the hereinafter described portion of the Sylvan Avenue Right-of= Way is not,suitable;.needed,-or beneficial to the,public as a public road,.street,.or alley;andthe closing of hereinafter described portion of the Sylvan Avenue Right-of-Way'is for the protection. of the public and for the public interest and benefit,and that the hereinafter described alley,in Block 50, La Porte should be vacated,abandoned,and permanently closed-._ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE. Section 1.
