Pfeiffer, Commissioners <br />W. A. Stabs, Jr., Bobby J. Burgin, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and Lois J. <br />Compton. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMti1/SS/ON ABSENT: None <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Clerk Marilyn Ke11ey, City Engineer <br />H. Carlos Smith, Chief of Police H. F. Freeman, Superintendent <br />of Streets Clifford Ellis, and City Attorney Knox W. Askins. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />~. The minutes of the regular meeting of September 99, 9967, were <br />approved as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Eugene Novey, C.P.A., presented the 9966-67 Audit Report. The <br />Commission received the report, and requested that they be allowed <br />to review the report and discuss it to detail with Mr. Hovey. <br />+ + + <br />3. Commissioner Burgin recommended that the Motor Grader be purchased <br />from the Mustang Tractor Company. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Burgin, and seconded by Commtsstoner <br />Boyle, that the City purchase a Caterpillar, Model 92F, from Mustang <br />Tractor Company, $22,700.00. Motion canted. <br />+ + + <br />4. Attorney C. L. Pitman presented an oral proposal for Mr. George <br />Lunday to provtde transfer ambulance service for La Porte. Mr. <br />Lunday requested that the City subsidies him $900.00 per month <br />for this service. <br />Commissioner Stabs recommended that the Commission study the <br />proposal. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
