• • <br />5. The City Administrator presented a tabulation of bids for <br />the purchase of a garbage truck body and chassis. (See <br />Exhibit No. 1).He recommended that the City purchase a <br />24 Cu. Yd. Garbage Packer Body from Pak-Mor Manufacturing <br />Company, $7,979.40, and a Chassis from Jay Marks Chevrolet <br />X5,775.50, a low combination of bids of X13,754.90. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton and carried, that the City accept <br />the recom,~mendation of the City Administrator. <br />+ + + <br />6. Mayor Pfeiffer presented a letter of resignation as Tax <br />Assessor-Collector from Mrs. Marilyn Kelley. (See Exhibit <br />No. 2). <br />Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Crofoot, that the Commission accept Mrs. Kelley's resignation. <br />Motion carried. <br />+ + + <br />7. A motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton and carried, that Ordtnance No. 807 be <br />approved on first and final reading. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING P. V. WERNER AS CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />AND TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS. <br />+ + + <br />8. Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Crofoot and carried, that the following accounts payable <br />be approved: <br />Mabry Foundry & Supply Company ,105.00 <br />Joe Camp, Inc. 253.27 <br />Joe Camp, Inc. 747.18 <br />Houston Material Company 157.28 <br />Frontier Painting Company 235.00 <br />+ + + <br />9. A motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, seconded by <br />Commissioner Compton, that the purchase of 140 Tons <br />Crushed Stone from Contractor's Material Service, Inc., <br />C .2.97 per ton, be approved, subject to the customer <br />depositing the money for same with the City Office.
