The minutes of the regular meeting of February 17, 1969 were approved <br />as written. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Darel Castle, State Health Department, and Mr. W. H. Larrimer, Harris <br />County Health Department, showed slides of both good and bad conditions <br />in La Forte and the surrounding area. They stated that La Porte has taken <br />steps to improve some of the ccnditions and by working together, other <br />irr%provements can be realised. <br />Mr. Castle presented a letter from L. D. Farraguth, Director of the <br />Harris Covnfy Health Unit, commending the City of La Porte in some areas. <br />(See Exhibit No. 1). <br />+ + + <br />3. A group of North Side Citizens discussed with the Commission thetr <br />concern for several problems that exist. <br />The City Administrator assured the Citizens that the Commission is <br />studying possible solutions to some of the problems. <br />+ + + <br />4. Commissioner Crofoot ,made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Boyle, <br />and carried, th~~t Ordinance No. 816 be passed on first and final <br />readtnq. <br />
