<br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTS, TEXAS <br />MARCH 2, 1970 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, <br />Commissioners E.A.Thomas, Charles D. Boyle, Bobby J.Burgin, <br />and H. Gould Crofoot. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: None. <br />OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: P.V.Werner, City Administrator; <br />Virginia Cline, City Clerk; Knox Askins, City Attorney; <br />Robert Cline, Director of Public Works; and H. F. Freeman, <br />Chief of Police. <br />PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer. <br />+ + + <br />1. Minutes of the regular meeting of February 16, <br />1970 were approved as presented. <br />+ + + <br />2. Mr. Werner stated that letters had been mailed <br />to all property owners abutting the proposed <br />sewer trunk line from Crestlane, North along <br />8th Street to the Oak Park Trailer Park. To <br />date 3 replys have been received; each stating <br />they thought it was a good thing; did not have <br />the money at this time and one owner asked if <br />it could be paid out on time and at what interest <br />rate. <br />+ + + <br />3. Mr. Werner stated that he had attended the <br />meeting with Clear Lake Basin Authority per- <br />taining to Texas Water duality Board Order No. <br />69-9. Our portion for W.C.I.D.{~ 56 is $4,020. <br />This is based on the amount of effluent from <br />the sewer plant. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded <br />by Commissioner Thomas that the City pay their <br />share of X4,020. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />AYES:Commissioners Thomas,Boyle,Burgin, and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />
