A discussion was held on making adjustments on <br />water bills. As no agreement could be reached <br />action was tabled. <br />+ + + <br />14. Mrs. Hank Luyties appeared before the Commission <br />to request a certified copy of Ordinance 848 for <br />H. E. P. <br />+ + + <br />15. Motion was made by Commissioner Boyle, seconded <br />by Commissioner Crofoot that Ordinance No. 850 <br />be approved as presented. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Boyle,Burgin,and Crofoot. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING <br />A CIVIL DEFENSE ORGANIZATION FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTS <br />PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION OF TT3E OFFICES THEREOF; <br />AND PROVIDING THA'~ I'HE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS <br />SHALL BE EX OFICIO CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR; AND PRO- <br />VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />16. Fire Chief, Jack Oliphant, appeared before the <br />Commission in regards to the City purchasing a <br />pumper truck for the Fire Department. Approximate <br />cost of the truck and equiptment would be $6,000. <br />Commissioner Crofoot stated this was not a budgeted <br />item and suggested action be tabled until a finan- <br />cial report was available. <br />+ + + <br />1'7. Motion was made by Commissioner Burgin, seconded <br />by Commissioner Crofoot that Brookglenn, Section <br />2 be approved as presented by the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission.
