~ ~ <br />Regular Meeting x/12/'71 - continued <br />• Mayor Smith stated the sub-division ordinance <br />had this requirement and the Commission would <br />ask the City Attorney for a legal opinion on <br />amending the building code. <br />+ + + <br />3. Jack Oliphant, ~~ire Chief, addressed the Commission <br />in regards to the forthcoming fire school at Austin <br />and requested approval of expenditure of budgeted <br />funds for school expenses. <br />Motion by Comm. Crofoot, seconded. by Comm. Thomas <br />to approve the expenditure of budgeted funds for <br />fire school expenses. Motion carried by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />4. Motion by Comm. Crofoot, seconded by Comm. Kibodeaux <br />to suspend the order of business to take up an item <br />not on the agenda. Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson <br />+ + + <br />5. Motion by Comm. Crofoot, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />authorizing the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance <br />prohibiting mobile service stations in the City of <br />La Porte.
