Jack Oliphant, Fire Chief, addressed the <br />Commission in regards to adopting the <br />National Standard Thread for all fire hydrants <br />in the city. He explained the advantages <br />of having the standard thread and stated that <br />it would be too expensive to change all of <br />the hydrants at one time, but maybe it could <br />be done block by block until all were changed. <br />Mr. Oliphant also asked that an ordinance <br />requiring the NST in subdivisions be considered. <br />• Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Thomas <br />that Mr. Askins be authorized to prepare an <br />amendment to the subdivision ordinance requiring <br />the NST on fire hydrants. Motion carried b,y the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Thomas, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Crofoot. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />4. Motion by Comm.
