~ ~ <br />Special Meeting 4/24/']2 - continued <br />• <br />2. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Boyle <br />to adopt Ordinance No. 923 as read. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF RICHARD <br />L. BROWN; APPOINTING JAMES BRADFORD AS ACTING DIRECTOR <br />OF FINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />3. A discussion was held on the eight inch water line <br />extension along S. Broadway. <br />I,es McDonald, Baytown Engineering, stated through <br />an oversight on locating the existing line, which <br />• is north of Forest Street, the crossing of that <br />street had been omitted in the plans and specifications <br />in bidding the job. He stated the additional cost <br />would be $365.00, but since the contract was bid <br />on a unit price, it would not be necessary to <br />issue a change order. <br />The Commission gave approval for Mr. McDonald to <br />instruct the contractor to cut through Forest Street <br />to connect with the existing line on the north side <br />of the street. <br />+ + + <br />4. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. Boyle <br />authorizing the Director of Public Works to hire <br />the necessary help to tear down the city building <br />which burned in Fairmont Park. Motion carried <br />by the following vote <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, Sampson <br />and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• <br />+ + + <br />z <br />
