<br />Regular Meeting 5/15/72 - continued <br />• <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux and <br />Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />+ + + <br />6. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Christensen to approve payment of $22,259.54 <br />to Lumus Dodge for eight (8) vehicles purchased <br />for the Public Works Department. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux and <br />Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />• + + + <br />7. Jack Oliphant, Fire Chief, read bids received <br />May 11, 19']2 for installing pump, tank and <br />body on 19']2 one (1) ton Dodge Cab Chassis. <br />The bids received were as follows: <br />Brazoria Fire Equiptment X5,1'75.00 <br />Boardman 7,380.00 <br />Fire Control & Safety 6,994.00 <br />Houston Fire & Safety 8,988.00 <br />Mr. Oliphant stated the low bid from Brazoria <br />would have to be rejected as it did not meet <br />specifications and his recommendation would <br />be to accept the lowest legal bid from Fire <br />Control & Safety. <br />Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. <br />Christensen to accept the bid of $6,994.00 <br />from Fire Control. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux and <br />Boyle. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />3 <br />+ + + <br />
