• ~ ~ <br />Regular Meeting 6/19/ 72 - continued <br />• <br />Mayor Thomas stated the City of La Porte was <br />honored to receive this special flag, which <br />had flown over the Capitol of the United States <br />and Da Nang Air Force Base in Viet Nam. Sgt. <br />McFall had acquired the flag as he wanted to <br />present it to his home town of La Porte and <br />the flag had flown over the La Porte City <br />Hall on Flag Day, June 14, 1.972. He stated <br />La Porte could be proud and honored to have <br />a citizen like Sgt. McFall. <br />Mayor Thomas called a short recess and invited <br />those present to read the letters which had <br />accompanied the flag and had been framed to <br />hang in City Hall along with the flag. <br />+ + + <br />1. Motion by Comm. Boyle, seconded by Comm. Sampson <br />to approve the minutes of the previous meeting <br />• of June 5, 1972 as presented. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />2. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm. <br />Christensen to approve the accounts payable. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Sampson and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />3. Mrs. Grace Greer addressed the Commission to <br />request the city to move the fence that is <br />around the present Child Development Center <br />• on E. Main to the .new location on W. Polk. <br />Mayor Thomas stated the City had purchased <br />
