William Baker, Bayshore Baptist Church, <br />addressed the Commission to request permission <br />to allow the church to build a covered walkway <br />over the city easement. <br />The Commission advised Rev. Baker that if he <br />could get approval from all of the utility <br />companies to cross the easement, they had <br />no objection to the walkway being installed. <br />+ + + <br />• 4. James Spradling, addressed the Commission to <br />report on the La Porte Utility District, of <br />which Mr. Spradling is the city's representative <br />on the Board of Directors. Mr. Spradling <br />reported he had attended a meeting of the <br />Board on July 24, ?..972, and although a bond <br />election was held on November 13, 1971 and <br />a $1,800,000.00 worth of bonds were approved, <br />the district is -oretty well dormant at this <br />time. <br />+ + + <br />5. Motion by Comm. Kibodeaux, seconded by Comm.. <br />Christensen to postpone for additional study <br />appointing a member to the housing board. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux and <br />Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Sampson. <br />.2 <br />• + + + <br />
