DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - Commissioner Boyle <br />stated that there was going to be an Emergency Medical <br />Services Symposium in Austin, January 28 and 29, 1976, <br />and would like for permission for approximately four <br />persons to attend. <br />The Engineer informed the Commission that the Fairmont <br />Park Water Line Project had started. <br />Chief Freeman stated that Officer Vernon Miller had <br />resigned to go into business for himself. Officer <br />Ed Johnson had been hired to replace Officer Miller. <br />Chief Freeman requested authorization to promote two <br />officers to Sergeants to have 24-hour supervision in <br />the Police Department. Money was available in the <br />budget, so there was no objection. <br />+ + + <br />• 15. WORK SHOP - A special Work Shop was called for Thursday, <br />January 15, 1976, at 7:00 P.M. <br />+ + + <br />16. ADJOURNMENT - Motion by Commissioner Boyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner Love that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Boyle, and Mayor Pro-Tem Kibodeaux. <br />NAYS: None. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. <br />Passed and approved this the <br />19th day of January, 1976. <br />c <br />Margie Goyen, ity Clerk <br />• Q` , <br />Imo."
