Law and Order Chief of Police <br />Be responsible for police services within the city <br />to include: <br /> <br />a. Law enforcement <br />b. Traffic control- to include flow of traffic <br />from coastal area during hurricane evacuation <br />c. Protection of life and property <br />d. Arrest of offenders <br />e. Perform intelligence <br />f. Civil disorders <br />g. Bomb threats <br />h. Assist in severe weather watch <br />i. Provide for coordinated ambulance service to <br />the affected area <br />k. Preparation of an SOP to include the above <br />functions <br />2. COMMUNICATIONS <br />POLICE <br />Be responsible. for communications between city services, <br />public operating agencies, other cities, county districts, <br />State and Federal agencies. A sufficient number of dispatch <br />personnel will be called into service to accomplish this. <br />Be responsible for the preparation of an SOP for emergency <br />procedures to be followed by dispatchers. <br />• <br />
