CONSIDER REQUEST OF POLICE OFFICER'S ASSOCIATION REGARDING <br />CHANGE IN VACATION SCHEDULES - After a brief discussion <br />regar ing t e request for a change in vacation schedules, <br />it was the consensus of opinion that if a change were made <br />it would be for all City employees and not only the Police <br />Department. <br />Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner Love <br />to amend the Employee Rules to read that all City employees <br />be given the following vacation time: one to five years, <br />two weeks; five to fifteen, three weeks; over fifteen .years, <br />four weeks, to be effective January 1, 1977. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />17. CONSIDER APPROVING DISASTER PLAN - Chief Freeman stated that <br />• the proposed plan had been recommended from Austin; that all <br />cities in Texas would have a very similar plan should a disaster <br />happen. Chief Freeman recommended that the Commission aprove <br />the proposed plan. <br />Motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to accept the recommendation of the Chief of <br />Police and approve the disaster plan. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: -None. <br />+ + + <br />18. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING AND ACCEPTING BIDS TO BE <br />RECEIVED ON AUGUST 16, 1976, AT 7:00 P.M., FOR THE 1000 FEET <br />OF FIRE HOSE - Motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by <br />Commissioner Cline to authorize advertising and accepting bids <br />to be received on August 16, 1976, at 7:00 P.M. for 1,000 <br />feet fire hose. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />• NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />
