APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING - NOVEMBER 7, 1977 - <br />Motion by Commissioner Tomerlin, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to approve the minutes of a Regular Meeting held <br />November 7, 1977. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Cline. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />4. APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - Motion by Commissioner Cline, <br />seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to approve the accounts <br />payable as presented. A copy of the accounts payable is <br />attached and made a part of these minutes. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, and Cline. <br />NAYS: None. <br />c: <br />+ + + <br />5. VISITORS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION - MRS. P. J. MOCK, JR., <br />219 Sylvan - representing Galveston Bay Conservation and <br />Preservation Association, requesting the City Commission to <br />send a letter asking to be a party to a hearing on December 19, <br />on a permit application made by B. F. Goodrich for a plant in <br />Bayport. <br />Mrs. Mock asked that the Commission familiarize themselves with <br />the effect the plant could have on the environment. <br />If a letter was not sent asking to be a party to the hearing, <br />the City would have no right to protest or voice in the hearing. <br />If they did not wish to, the letter would not be a commitment; <br />but an option. <br />A copy of the letter mailed to the Texas Air Control Board <br />is attached and made a part of these minutes. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
