• • <br />• <br />Minutes, Public Hearing and Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />April 17; 1985, Page 4 <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to approve a <br />budget transfer in the amount of $18'8,6 87 for the <br />maintenance of Fairmont Park esplanades. Second by <br />Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />(Councilperson Gay was away from the Council table.) <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />11. Council considered declaring an emergency and appropriating <br />funds for repair and replacement of a garbage truck. <br />Assistant Director of Public Works detailed the circumstances <br />for Council. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to accept Staf 's <br />• recommendation to declare an emergency and appropriate funds <br />from the Motor Pool Contingency for repair and replacement of <br />a 1984 residential~arbage truck. Second by Councilperson <br />Matuszak. The motion carried, g ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None - <br />13. The Mayor requested that_.item 13 be,a,ddressed before item 12. <br />Council considered an ordinance changing day for Council <br />meetings. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Wester ren to hold re ular <br />council meetings on the second and fourth Monday and-hold <br />workshop meetings on the third Monday, as needed,_be~inning <br />the second Monday in May. Second by Councilperson Walker. <br />The motion carried, g ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />• <br />
