• Minutes, Special Called Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />June 17, 1985, Page 2 <br />3. Council addressed Workshop Items: <br />A. A report from the La Porte Area Water Authority on <br />surface water supply was presented by Dr. Neil Bishop of <br />Turner Collie & Braden. A copy of the report is attached <br />to these minutes. <br />B. Council discussed approving final bill from Turner Collie <br />& Braden for work on the Comprehensive Master Plan. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to place this item <br />on a workshop agenda. The motion died for lack of a <br />second. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Walker to pay the final <br />bill with the exception of the $30,.600 additional cost. <br />Second by Councilperson Matuszak. The motion carried, 6 <br />ayes, 2 nays, 1 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, <br />• Skelton and Mayor Malone <br />Nays:, Councilpersons Westergren and Gay <br />Abstain: Councilperson Lloyd <br />C. Council discussed approving an agreement with Bayshore <br />Community Development Corporation for transportation <br />services. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to fund the <br />project for the remainder of this year and reguire <br />Bayshore Community Development Corporation to furnish the <br />City with records of all services rendered to citizens in <br />La Porte. Second by Councilperson Gay. <br />Councilperson Lloyd moved to amend the motion to read: <br />fund a payment of 4000 now and $4000 at the end of the <br />fiscal year based on performance. The motion died for <br />lack of a second. <br />The original motion was defeated, 4 ayes, 4 nays and 1 <br />abstain. (It was noted by the Assistant City Attorney <br />that you cannot appropriate money with a tie vote.) <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Gay, Skelton Westergren and Mayor <br />Malone <br />• Nays: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Pfeiffer <br />Abstain: Councilperson Waters <br />
