<br />• <br />Minutes, Called A4eeting, La Porte City Council <br />October 19, 1987, Page 2 <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1563 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING ARTICLE III, SECTION 12-41, SUB-PARAGRAPH (a), <br />"GARBAGE AND TRASH," OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTS; REFLECTING A NEW RATE STRUCTURE FOR <br />RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE AND TRASH COLLECTION; AUTHORIZING THE <br />COLLECTION OF SALES TAX; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE ElEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance <br />156 as read b ~ the City Attorney.
