• <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL <br />AIIGUST 22, 1991 <br />1. .The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem Hob <br />McLaughlin at 6:17 P.M. <br />Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Guy <br />Sutherland, Mike Cooper, Bob Thrower, Bob McLaughlin, Alton <br />Porter, Deotis Gay, B. Don Skelton, Jerry Clarke <br />Members of City Council Absent: Mayor Norman L. Malone <br />Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Bob Herrera, <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Police Chief Bobby Powell, <br />Finance Director Jeff Litchfield, Finance Officer Linda <br />Stubbs, Assistant Fire Chief Champ Dunham, Parks and <br />Recreation Director Stan Sherwood, Resource Manager/Purchasing <br />Manager Louis Rigby <br />Others Present: Doyle Westergren <br />2. Consider approving City Council letter regarding vacancy in <br />the EPA Region VI Administration. <br />Councilperson Bob Thrower make a motion to approve the City <br />Council letter regarding vacancy in the EPA Region VI <br />Administration. Second by Councilperson Mike Cooper. The <br />motion carried with 8 ayes, and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton and Clarke (Mayor <br />Malone was absent from the table) <br />3. Council adjourned into executive session at 6:17 P. M. under <br />V.A.T.S. - Article 6252-17, Section 2(G) Personnel, to <br />discuss personnel as it pertains to proposed FY 1991-92 <br />budget. Council returned to the table and the meeting was <br />reconvened by Mayor Malone at 9:40 P. M. <br />City Manager led the discussion regarding personnel as it <br />pertains to proposed FY 1991-92 budget. There was no action <br />taken. <br />
