<br />e! e <br /> <br />I. INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The City of La Porte is seeking application from eligible financial <br /> <br />institutions to be the depository for public funds of the City. The <br /> <br />contract period will be two years beginning January 1, 1986, and <br /> <br />thereafter until the successor depository shal1 have been duly <br /> <br />selected and qualified according to state laws. At the outset, the <br /> <br />City wishes to communicate the primary objectives of the depository <br /> <br />agreement, an important component of the overall treasury and debt <br /> <br />management program of the City: <br /> <br />To seek a bank that is <br />services and willing to <br />matters: <br /> <br />both capabl e of prov id ing bank ing <br />be attentive to the City's money <br /> <br />To maximize the total dollars earned by the City on invested <br />monies in order to be prudent and effective custodians of <br />the taxpayer's financial resources: <br /> <br />To maintain a good working reelationship with the depositor <br />bank: and <br /> <br />To adequately compensate the depository bank <br />provided and to allow a reasonable profit <br /> <br />for <br />to be <br /> <br />services <br />earned. <br /> <br />This request for Proposal, or "RFpl, is intended to serve as the bid <br /> <br />form for the depository agreement. There are several blanks to fill <br /> <br />in and quest ions to be answered. <br /> <br />The depository agreement will be <br /> <br />prepared based on the bidder's response to this RFP. <br /> <br />All points <br /> <br />outlined and materials requested should be incorporated into the <br /> <br />bidder's reply to be considered for evaluation. <br /> <br />Attachments will <br /> <br />be appropriate in order to answer some of the enclosed questions. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
