<br />LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL
<br />SEPTEMBER 27, 1990
<br />1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Malone at 7:30 P.M.
<br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Norman Malone,
<br />Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Alton Porter, Deotis Gay
<br />(arrived at 7:38), B. Don Skelton, Jerry Clarke
<br />Members of City Council Absent: Councilpersons Mike Cooper,
<br />Ed Matuszak, Bob McLaughlin
<br />Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Bob Herrera, City
<br />Attorney Knox Askins, City Secretary Cherie Black, Assistant
<br />City Manager John Joerns, Finance Director Jeff Litchfield
<br />Others Present: Paul Martin, Bond Counsel; Pete Fischer and
<br />David Fetzer, Financial Advisors for the City
<br />Bids for $1,500,000 General Obligation Bonds, Series 1990,
<br />were opened and read by Pete Fischer; bids for $2,100,000
<br />Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, Series 1990, were
<br />opened and read by David Fetzer.
<br />2. Council considered an Ordinance authorizing issuance of
<br />$1,500,000 City of La Porte, Texas, General Obligation Bonds,
<br />Series 1990.
<br />ORDINANCE 1727 - ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF
<br />$1,500,000 CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS,
<br />SERIES 1990; EXECUTION OF A PAYING AGENT/REGISTRAR AGREEMENT;
<br />AND ALL OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO, INCLUDING IMMEDIATE
<br />EFFECTIVENESS.
<br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance
<br />1727 and award $1,500,000 general obligation bonds to
<br />Prudential Bache. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion
<br />carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays.
<br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Porter, Gay, Skelton,
<br />Clarke and Mayor Malone
<br />Nays: None
<br />3. Council considered an Ordinance authorizing issuance of
<br />$2,100,000 City of La Porte, Texas, Waterworks and Sewer
<br />System Revenue Bonds, Series 1990.
