<br />MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 11, 1990 <br />1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Malone at 7:38 P.M. <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Norman Malone, <br />Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Mike Cooper, Bob McLaughlin, <br />Alton Porter, Deotis Gay, B. Don Skelton, Jerry Clarke <br />Members of City Council Absent: Councilperson Ed Matuszak <br />Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Bob Herrera, City <br />Attorney Knox Askins, City Secretary Cherie Black, Assistant <br />City Manager John Joerns <br />Others Present: Senator Chet Brooks <br />2. Council adjourned into executive session at 7:38 P.M, under <br />V.A.T.S. Article 6252-17, Section 2(E) (Legal), to meet with <br />attorney(s) to discuss Houston Chemical Services, <br />Inc./Southern Ionics, Inc. Council returned to the table at <br />9:30 P.M., with no action taken. <br />3.
