<br />~ <br />I <br /> <br />~m RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, hundreds of dedicated Telecommunicators daily serve the citizens of <br />Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller Counties by answering their telephone callsfor police, fire, <br />and emergency medical services by dispatching the appropriate assistance as quickly as <br />possible; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the critical function performed by professional Telecommunicators also <br />include those related toforestry and conservation operations, highway safety and mainte- <br />nance activities, and many other operations performed by federal, state, and local <br />government agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, professional telecommunicators work to improve the emergency response <br />capabilities of these communications systems through their leadership and participation in <br />training programs to improve their skills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network wishes to join with <br />The Associated Public-Safety Communications Officers, Inc., in setting aside the second <br />week in April to recognize Telecommunicators and their crucial role in protection of life and <br />property; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED by the Board of Managers that the week of <br />April 14-20, 1991 as "Telecommunicators Week" in the territory served by the 9-1-1 Network <br />in honor and recognition of our, community's Telecommunicators and the vital contribution <br />they make to the safety and well-being of our citizens. <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the <br />Meeting of the Board of Managers of the Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network <br />on this 28th day of March, 1991, A.D. <br /> <br />oQ~ <br /> <br />11/~19-~ <br /> <br /> <br />v; <br /> <br /> <br />Russell S.
