<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />City Council Meeting Minutes for April 12, 1999 - page 4 <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 99-2320 - AN ORDINANCE VACATING, <br />ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE NOTHERMOST TWENTY-FIVE FEET (25') <br />OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 87, TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, <br />TEXAS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Ebow to approve the Ordinance as presented by Mr. <br />Kneupper. Second by Councilperson Griffiths. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Young, Clarke, and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: <br /> <br />12. Council considered approving an ordinance to close, vacate, and abandon the East "L" <br />Street right-of-way between blocks 1121 and 1160. <br /> <br />Planning Director Doug Kneupper presented summery and recommendations and <br />answered City Council's questions. Council considered approving the City Manager to enter a contract with Gulf <br />Coast/Galveston Concessions and Catering for food, beverage and concession services for <br />Sylvan Beach Pavilion. <br /> <br />Director of Parks and Recreation Stephen Barr presented summary and recommendation <br />and answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Engelken to approve the Ordinance as presented by <br />Mr. Kneupper.
