CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Chuck Engelken, <br />Peter Griffiths, Alton Porter, Deotis Gay, Charlie Young, Jerry Clarke, and Mayor <br />Norman Malone <br /> <br />Members of Council Absent: Councilperson Howard Ebow <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Emolovees Present: City Manager Robert T. <br />Herrera, Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, City Secretary Martha Gillett, <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Administrative Assistant Carol Buttler, Director of <br />Administrative Services Louis Rigby, Director of Planning Doug Kneupper, Acting <br />Police Chief Aaron Corrales, Director of Public Works Steve Gillett. <br /> <br />Others Present: Colleen Hicks, Summer Cacciotto, and Connie Elston. <br /> <br />2, Mayor Norman Malone delivered the Invocation. <br /> <br />3, Council considered approving the minutes of the Regular Meeting, Public Hearing, and <br />Workshop Meeting on June 14, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Counciloerson Clarke to aporove the minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting. Public Hearing, and Workshoo Meeting as oresented. Second by <br />Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke and Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />4. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND <br />TAX PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL <br /> <br />There were no citizens wishing to address City Council. <br /> <br />5. Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the City to enter an agreement <br />with Bay Area Transportation Partnership. <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />City Council's questions. Connie Elston with Bay Area Transportation Partnership was <br />present for questions. Councilperson Sutherland asked for clarification on who would <br />receive payments. Payment would be made to Bay Area Transportation Partnership.
