<br />1. CALL TO ORDER
<br />
<br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at 6:00 p.m.
<br />

<br />Howard Ebow, Peter Griffiths, Alton Porter, Charlie Young, Jerry Clarke, and Mayor

<br />2. Mayor Norman Malone delivered the Invocation.
<br />
<br />3. Council considered approving the minutes of the Regular Meeting on June 28, 1999.
<br />
<br />Motion was made bv CounciIperson Clarke to approve the minutes of the Ree:ular
<br />Meetine: as oresented. Second by Councilperson Engelken. The motion carried
<br />unanimously.
<br />
<br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Young, Clarke and Malone

<br />4. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND
<br />TAX PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL
<br />
<br />1. Lennis Anderson, Senior Equipment Operator for Public Works was recognized
<br />as retiring with 16 years of service to the City of La Porte. Mr. Herrera and
<br />Mr. Gillett presented Mr. Anderson with a gift form the City.
