Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a <br />contract with Epoxy Design Systems for rehabilitation of the Sylvan Beach Pavilion <br />structural support/floor system. <br /> <br />Director of Planning Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered questions for City Council. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 99-2363 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING <br />AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND <br />EPOXY DESIGN SYSTEMS, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SYLVAN BEACH <br />PAVILION STRUCTURAL SUPPORTIFLOOR SYSTEM APPROPRIATING <br />$86,562.00 TO FUND SAID CONTRACT; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Young to approve the ordinance as presented by Mr. <br />Kneupper. Second by Councilperson Engelken. Council considered authorizing the City Manager to approve a contract with Dr. <br />Boultinghouse, M.D., to serve as the EMS Medical Director. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Joe Sease presented summary and recommendations and answered questions <br />for City Council. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council person Engelken to authorizing the City Manager to <br />approve the contract as presented by Chief Sease. Second by Councilperson Clarke. <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke, and Mayor Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />18.
