<br />CALL TO ORDER
<br />
<br />The meeting was called to order b)' Mayor Norman Malone at 6:00 p.m.
<br />
<br />Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Chuck Engelken,
<br />Peter Griffiths, Alton Porter, Deotis Gay, Charlie Young, Jerry Clarke, and Norman
<br />Malone.

<br />Members of Council Absent: Council member Ebow.

<br />2. Sr. Deacon Tom Lewis ~ St. Mary's Catholic Church delivered the invocation.
<br />
<br />3. Council considered approving the minutes of the Regular Meeting on July 24, 2000.
<br />
<br />Motion was made by Counciloerson Engelken to approve the minutes of the Regular
<br />Meeting of July 24. 2000 as presented. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Ayes: Engelken, Griffiths, Young, Clarke, and Malone.
<br />Nays: None
<br />Abstain: Sutherland
<br />
<br />Council member Gay arrived at 6:05 p.m.

<br />4. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND
