CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at 6:00 p.m. <br />Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Chuck Engelken, <br />Alton Porter, Peter Griffiths, Deotis Gay, Chazlie Young, Jerry Clazke, and Mayor <br />Norman Malone. <br />Members of Council Absent: Councilperson Howard Ebow. <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Employees Present: City Manager Robert T. <br />Herrera, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, City Secretary Martha Gillett, Director of <br />Administrative Services Louis Rigby, Fire Chief Joe Sease, Fire Suppression Supervisor <br />Champ Dunham, Lieutenant Cazl Crisp, Fire Marshal Paul Hickenbottom, Assistant <br />Police Chief Aazon Corrales, Police Chief Richazd Ref£ Director of Public Works Steve <br />Gillett, Fire Department Jim Vann and Jim Bridge. <br />Others Present: Mr. and Mrs. Dorsett and family and a number of citizens. <br />2. Mayor Norman Malone delivered the Invocation. <br />3. Council considered approving the minutes of the Regulaz Meeting and Public Hearing on <br />April 17, 2000. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Engelken to approve the minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting and Public Hearing as presented. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion <br />carried. <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clazke, and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />4. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND <br />TAXPAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL. <br />There were no citizens wished to address Council. <br />5. The special called workshop meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman Malone at <br />6:00 PM. <br />A. DISCUSS MEDICAL COVERAGE FOR RETIREES <br />Director of Administrative Services Louis Rigby presented report on medical <br />coverages for retirees to City Council. Mr. Sutherland noted for the record that <br />he was not present when this was previously discussed in October. <br />
