- - - __ ~I +, ORDINANCE N0 , • , i AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF LA PO RTE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1957, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1958. ~i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMM ISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PURTE, TEXAS: ~i ~; Section 1: That for the purpose of providing a budget for the fiscal ~i year beginning 7uly 1, 1957, and ending June 30, 1958, the sums set forth below lbe, and the same are hereby, appropriated for the maintenance, operation and ( improvement of the Government of the City of La Porte, and the same shall be strritly applied for the several purposes and in the respective amounts herein- after specified. • ~ Section 2: That the amounts appropriated and the purposes for which the same shall be spent be as follows: Administrative Department $16 533.05 Finance Department 10,918.00 } Water and Sewer Department 32,889.00 Fire Department 12,984.00 Police Department 21,399.00 Street and Alley Department 30,288.50 ~ Garbage Department 14,938.50 ~ Health Department 1 250.00 ~' Debt Service 56,477.50 ~I I~ $197,677.55 Section 3. That the Board of Commissioners may transfer a sum from one item to another item within. a fund, except that the Bonded Debt Service Fund • i shall not be subject to such alteration by the.Board of Commissioners; and that a sum may be transferred from one fund to another fund only on the authority of an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
