r r ~2~ WHEREAS, the plat of the said W. ,.~. Payne Subdivision in the W. M. Jones Survey, recorded in Vol. 384, Page 161, of the Dee Records of Harris County, Texas, shows a dedicated road forty (¢0) feet in width lying between said blocks rdo. One (1) and No. Two (2 of the said W. J. Payne Subdivision and extending from the East li of the hereinabove described property in a Westerly direction to the West line of the said hereinabove described property; ar_d ~~ WHEREAS, the said forty (¢0) foot road running East and West across the La Porte Municipal Airport has never been opened or used as a public road or street; and WHEREAS the City Commission of the City of La Porte has determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the said forty (40) foot road across the La Porte Municipal Airport is not suitable, needed or beneficial to the public as a public road or street and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; ~~~ ~?OW, THEREFORE : BE IT ORDAINED D".' THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. Under and by virtue of the powers granted to • 'the City of La Porte under its Home Rule Charter and Chapter 13, I~ Title 28, Article 117$, of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, 1925, the forty (40) foot road extending East and West across the La Porte Municipal Airport and lying between blocks iTo. One (1) and Two (2) of the W. J. Payne Subdivision, as shown on the plat recorded in Vol. 384, Page 161, of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas, is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed jby the Cityof La Porte.
