Ordinance No. 883 , Page 2. a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of La Porte, Texas, is hereby adopted and desig- nated as the Housing'Code of the City of La Porte, incorporated by refe'rence in this article, and made a part hereof, as fully as if copied at length herein." Section 4. Section 8-26 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte is hereby amended, to hereafter read as follows, to-wit: "The Southern Standard Gas Code, 1969 Edi- tion, as revised in 1971, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of La Porte, Texas, is hereby adopted and designated as the Gas Code of the City of La Porte, incorporated by reference in this article, and made a part hereof, as fully as if copied at length herein." Section 5. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance or of the Codes hereby adopted shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 7. Any person, firm, partnership, or corpora- tion, violating any provision of this Ordinance, or any section or provision of the several codes adopted hereby, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), and each day of violation shall be deemed as a separate offense. Section_8. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication as required'by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 12th day of July, 1971.
