Members of the Police Reserve Force shall <br /> <br />serve-at the discretion of the Chief of Police and may be <br />called into service at any time the Chief of Police considers <br /> <br />it necessary to have additional officers to preserve the peace <br /> <br />and enforce the law. <br /> <br />Section 5. Members of the Police Reserve Force shall <br /> <br />serve without compensation, 'provided, however, the City of <br /> <br />La Porte shall furnish the uniforms for said members of the <br /> <br />Police Reserve -Force. <br /> <br />Section 6. Reserve police officers shall act only in a <br /> <br />supplementary capacity to the regular police force of the City <br /> <br />of La Porte, and shall in no case assume the full time duties <br /> <br />of regu1ar'police officers, without first complying with all <br /> <br />requirements for such regular police officers. <br />Section 7. The following named persons, who have hereto- <br /> <br />fore and prior to August 30, 1971, been serving as Reserve Law <br /> <br />Enforcement Officers of the City of La Porte, having been <br />reappointed to the Police Reserve Force by the Chief of police, <br /> <br />are hereby approved by the City Commission of the City of <br /> <br />La Porte, to-wit: <br /> <br />E. W. Applebe <br />Jerry Carpenter <br />Bob Stinson <br />Van Lightfoot <br />Ed petrell <br />Marion Brown <br /> <br />Dewey Walls <br />Paul Bonner <br />Douglas Donahoe <br />Allen Groda <br />K. L. Lindsey <br />Willie Owens <br /> <br />Section 8.
