<br />AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RATES FOR LA PORTE TAXI COMPANY;
<br />CONTAINING A. SAVINGS CLAUSE AND A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING
<br />THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE
<br />DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE
<br />FINED IN ANY SUM NOT MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2'00,00)
<br />AND EACH DAY OF VIOLATION SHALL BE DEEMED A SEPARATE OFFENSE;
<br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:

<br />Section 1, La Porte Taxi Company is authorized to cha!ge

<br />Section 2, The City Commission of the City of La Porte

<br />has approved the above rates for La Porte Taxi Company, upon
<br />

<br />its application, and based upon its representation that the
<br />above rates were in effect prior to July 15, 1971, the b~gin-
<br />ning of the base period for w~ges and prices under the wage-
<br />price freeze declared by the President of the United States,
<br />Section 3, The invalidity of any section or provision
<br />of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or
<br />
<br />provisions thereof,
